The 60, or the heights or versatility
At the heart of our scarf offering is our bandana-like, 60cm scarf format. Maybe the most versatile of all our scarf formats, it is fully functional all year long, from the first sunny days of spring to the windy autumn afternoons and the freezing cold winter nights. Its medium size is highly wearable and has been designed to work with a very wide range of looks, from the very formal to the fully casual.
Here, we go in full length on how to tie a 60cm scarf with pieces from Le Isole, Arcipelago and our Issimo x Les Belles Heures exclusive capsule. Featuring items as diverse as waxed cotton jackets, tweed Balmacaan coats, denim shirts and cashmere cardigans to provide a full understanding of the highly versatile nature of our 60cm scarf format. Which also works magic for staying at home on a Sunday if you feel like dressing up.
How to tie a 60cm scarf tucked in, as in comfy and warm
Starting with the most obvious, warm and comfortable option that works as a very soft, extra collar to your knit. Once twisted in a band of fabric, the only thing you have to do is rolling your 60cm scarf once around your neck tying it with a simple knot on the front, and tucking the rest of the fabric inside your collar, adjusting it to add a hint of volume. Very discreet and elegant, it adds just the right amount of color and pattern to your winter outfit, and boost any outerwear piece with a touch of relaxed elegance.

How to tie a 60cm scarf tightly, for a formal and elegant vibe
Once untucked, your 60cm scarf offers a whole new world of possibilities. Proportions, as we know, are everything. Tightly tied around your neck - with less fabric above the knot than below - the slightly longer tips of your 60cm scarf allow for more movement and a whole redefinition of the balance of your look, especially when combined with coats and jackets that tend to be declined in darker shades of brown and navy. Playing with colors and patterns will bring contrast, and boost your outerwear piece with a whole new level of cool.

How to tie a 60cm scarf for a home look that also works outside
Worn inside - or when temperatures rise - your 60cm scarf will equally add a touch of nonchalant flair to the lower layers of your look. Here associated with monochromatic blocks of white and forest green, a tightly tied 60cm scarf brings life to the ensemble. It is a touch of light through a golden yellow or bright orange, or some texture via a dense, sophisticated pattern. The tight knot allows for a more formal, traditional vibe while bringing the balance of the whole look slightly upward when the open cardigan would tend to bring it downward. Proportions speak for themselves here, the result of which is this unique combination of effortlessness, cool and sophistication. For a cosy Sunday afternoon, or a day in the countryside comes Spring.

How to tie a 60cm scarf with a slightly deeper knot, for a more casual look
Bringing the knot down a few notches, we have as much fabric above the knot than below, which allows for very different proportions and, as a consequence, a very different impact on your outfit. Maybe even more relaxed and easy than the previous options, everything seems to have come into place quite naturally. The scarf fits in the collar of your coat or jacket and makes the jonction with what you wear underneath.
Your 60cm scarf being more visible than with the previous options, colors and patterns have to be treated a bit more cautiously here. Lighter shades will freshen up your dark outerwear pieces while more dense, vibrant ones will bring a very interesting pop effect to the ensemble and darker ones will tend to blend in more smoothly for a very sophisticated vibe.

How to tie a 60cm scarf a bit deeper for full relax
Tying your 60cm scarf deeper means that you will have more fabric above the knot than below, and thus very different proportions to the whole thing. We're in the non-formal field here, with a street vibe. As some kind of textile piece of jewelry, your 60cm scarf takes a bigger role in your whole outfit scheme, calling for an even more conscious approach on colors and patterns. With volumes already being on the flamboyant side, less contrasted colors will tone everything down and bring balance to the ensemble. It's a soft almond green on a cream corduroy, a baby pink on a light blue or tone on tone vibrant blue or smoky red combinations that add a touch of sophistication to the looks.

If toning things down is not your thing, we also got you covered. Volumes already being generous, play with vibrant colors and bold patterns to compose equally balanced looks that will speak for a more daring attitude. Very personal color combinations. Great style.
