How to wear your 40cm scarf

The 40, or the kid brother that keeps on giving

The smaller size in our scarf range, our 40cm offers a very interesting level of versatility which is, at the very least, as high and wide as its two 60cm and 90cm brothers.

Quite obviously, it does not cover the same needs though. Perfect during spring and summer, it is also very interesting when worn inside, at home, during a party or at the office.

We'll go over some of the most obvious options together now.

Lavezzi, 14h,23 worn with a navy woolen double breasted shawl jacket over a navy cashmere polo sweater

LEFT: Minorca, 17h33 worn with a denim shirt over a white tee ∙ RIGHT: Panarea, 08h23 worn with a pink cashmere crew neck sweater

Around the neck, the 40cm can be worn the most traditional way, that is rolled into a twisted band of fabric then tied on the front with a simple knot, adjusting the depth of you scarf to your collar, either tucked in, or untucked.

La Posta Vecchia, 16h23 worn with a navy woolen double breasted shawl jacket over a navy cashmere polo sweater

LEFT: Arcipelago, 08h23 worn with a denim shirt over a white tee ∙ RIGHT: Il Pellicano, 10h22 worn with a pink cashmere crew neck sweater

To bring more volume to the party, it also can be worn just folded into a triangle, then tied on the front with a simple knot.

Leaving much more fabric visible, this option provides a carefree approach that allows to play with volumes and, above all, colors. Indeed, it leaves you more choice about which color you want to make visible and, with graphic compositions such as Arcipelago, or the striped compositions of our Issimo x Les Belles Heures capsule collection, allows you to create unique color combinations depending on what you're wearing.

You'll notice that, depending on the way you fold your scarf, how you adjust it to your collar, and which color combination you favor, the overall vibe of your look can differ greatly, from effortless and nonchalant to sophisticated and refined.

Now, let's look at other combinations between our 40cm scarf and different types of looks. With shirt, and jackets.

Ponza, 23h11 worn with an oxford button-down striped shirt over a white tee

LEFT: Lavezzi, 14h23 worn on a red printed silk shirt ∙ RIGHT: Cavallo, 18h17 worn with a striped cotton shirt over a white tee

Beyond a neck scarf, our 40cm scarf has been designed to provide just the ideal amount of fabric to be worn as a pocket square in a puff, or reverse puff manner.

LEFT: Formentera, 15h12 worn as a pocket square with a navy woolen double breasted shawl jacket over a white tee ∙ RIGHT: Minorca, 17h33 worn with the same outfit

That "just enough" concept associated with our 40cm scarf also extends to some more exotic options such as tying it into your hair, wearing it as a headband, or attached to any kind of bag for a splash of colorful sophistication.
